With the 2022 midterm elections quickly approaching, candidates and parties are campaigning non-stop around the country, hoping to gain some last-minute support. And while it is mostly the Democrats competing against the GOP, in Arizona, Republicans Mick McGuire and Mark Brnovich appeared at odds when it came to the 2020 Presidential election and if there really was evidence of voter fraud. Although serving as the Attorney General for Arizona since 2015, Brnovich failed to take action after the highly contested election, and now his opponent, retired Air Force General McGuire, is holding him accountable.

In the video, which can be watched below, Brnovich was hoping to further his career in politics by running for the U.S. Senate. The only problem, during a forum on Thursday, McGuire criticized the so-called Republicans for not defending the election process and the voice of the American people. “In 2016, there were just over 6000 military absentee ballots that came into Maricopa County. In 2020, there were 10,457. In that same period of performance, I was the commanding general of the Guard. That’s a 68% increase in digital ballots that were submitted and an 11% Decrease in overseas deployments. I believe that the chief law enforcement officer in the state has reasonable suspicion to open a criminal investigation into that.”

The veteran didn’t stop there, adding, “People complain about different things, but you have lawyers for a reason. And people ask me, What can I do about it? I said I’m an unemployed general running for the United States Senate. But there is somebody on this stage that can act on that. And the truth of the matter is, you can’t play this game where you say you’re serious about this, and you’re not going to comment on criminal investigations, then publish an interim report about a criminal investigation and expect us to take you seriously in that capacity. That is the most important thing.”

Having his chance to speak after, Brnovich tried to explain his actions during the 2020 election, but the crowd, full of Arizona voters, wasn’t having it. Shouting and interrupting him on numerous occasions, the candidate seemed to lose his cool when he told voters to “just shut the hell up!” Take a look.

The support for Brnovich continued to dwindle as users online wrote, “90% of career politicians are lawyers. Lawyers by nature are liars, deceivers and are willing to compromise their clients for the best deal that suits their interest.”

Another person noted, “The truth is – Mark Brnovich has only one attorney assigned to the election fraud division and two staffers. He has never reassigned more resources to the issue. He isn’t looking for justice. He is looking to please his masters.”

And one person simply put, “2000 Mules”.
