“I think we should get the homicide out of the White House,” MacDonald said as cohosts Joy Behar and Barbara Walters became visibly frustrated. “We don’t want any more murderers.”

“Who are the murderers?” Behar replied, to which MacDonald said, “well, Clinton, he murdered a guy.”

Walters then tried to chastise MacDonald, but he fired back by saying, “I thought it was a matter of record!” The hosts responded by telling him jokingly to “shut up!”

“I love George Bush, man. He’s a good man, decent,” he continued. “He’s not a liar or crook murderer.”

Later in this same segment, MacDonald said that “people always told me Hollywood was, like, incredibly liberal and biased and I thought it was untrue but….” He then trailed off and gave his trademark smirk as he threw his hands in the air.

MacDonald passed away on Tuesday after a nine-year battle with cancer, and he was reportedly adamant about keeping his health struggles private.

“He was most proud of his comedy,” his longtime producing partner and friend Lori Jo Hoekstra told Deadline. “He never wanted the diagnosis to affect the way the audience or any of his loved ones saw him. Norm was a pure comic. He once wrote that ‘a joke should catch someone by surprise, it should never pander.’ He certainly never pandered. Norm will be missed terribly.”

MacDonald was best known for his stint on “Saturday Night Live,” He hosted “Weekend Update” from 1993 until 1998.

“Today is a sad day,” “Saturday Night Live,” said in a statement obtained by Yahoo News. “All of us here at SNL mourn the loss of Norm Macdonald, one of the most impactful comedic voices of his or any other generation. There are so many things that we’ll miss about Norm – from his unflinching integrity to his generosity to his consistent ability to surprise. But most of all, he was just plain funny. No one was funny like Norm.”

Unlike the vast majority of celebrities, MacDonald seemed actually to have a good head on his shoulders, and he wasn’t afraid to speak out against Democrat bigwigs like Clinton. He will be dearly missed.
