Among the many talents of President Joe Biden, one of his most beloved is living in the past. Throughout his 2020 campaign and his short time as President, Biden has reminisced on the past on several occasions. Some of his favorite stories are about his time on Amtrak, the time his house burned down, and how he marched alongside the Civil Rights Movement back in the 60s. While all great stories, the problem is – they are just that – stories. Although Biden continues to tell the stories as if they are history, his past has not only been well documented, but most of his stories have been debunked.
The latest embellishment of his history came when President Biden was speaking to some college graduates. He tried to boost his likeability by suggesting he knew the black national anthem. Pointing out that some in the audience might be surprised, Biden admitted, “I got started in politics because of the civil rights movement. I notice some of you are looking…I thought that you were wondering how does he know the black national anthem. Well, because I sat in a black church after going to 7 o’clock Mass – I’m a practicing Catholic – at 9 o’clock on the east side getting ready to go out and desegregate restaurants and movie theaters.”

Again, it’s a great story to tell if it were only true. Apparently, this isn’t the first time President Biden has used the story to try and boost his likeability. Back in the 80s, during his first run at the White House, Biden used the same story. Even the liberal outlet CNN couldn’t shy away from the topic as they ran an entire segment on it back in 2020.
Joe Biden LIED. Joe Biden LIED. Yes, he lied/lies about participating in the civil rights movement of the 1960s. He LIED. He says at press conferences and political events “I sat on Route 40.” “I attended the black church then participated in desegregation activities. pic.twitter.com/6a852iZbyt

It should also be noted that before CNN ran their segment, in 2019, Larry Elder created a segment about the lies and tales of Joe Biden that is a must-watch.
